It will be seen from an examination of the schedule just referred to that local law of criminal procedure is scattered over a considerable number of Ordinances, and it has been thought that it would be convenient to those concerned in the administration of this branch of the law that these Ordinances should be consolidated, with such amendments as appeared requisite, and that advantage should at the same time be taken of the opportunity to introduce any Imperial enactments which, although applicable to the circumstances of the Colony, have not yet found a place on its statute book.
